Meet the Team

Lindsey Hoff, LPC

Lindsey (she/her) is a co-founder of Rhiza Counseling and has been in various therapy settings before deciding to start a practice with Jack. Lindsey has experience working in outpatient and inpatient settings. Lindsey has previously worked at the VA with inpatient psychiatry, volunteered with domestic abuse victims through the YWCA, and worked in substance abuse recovery in both a drug court program and inpatient rehabilitation. She has been working in the outpatient setting for years and finds it to be the best fit for her.

Lindsey works with her best friend, Belle, to provide some extra unconditional support in her office. Belle’s quiet and gentle presence is a treat. She is ready to snore her way into your heart.

Lindsey has a passion for working with trauma, eating disorders, and the LQBTQ+ population. She is trained in EMDR and DBT, and uses a lot of approaches involving self-compassion, intuitive eating, and body positivity.

Lindsey focuses on creating a safe and welcoming environment for all folks. She believes that everyone has the capacity for change, and hopes that her office provides space to explore and create growth. Lindsey allows her clients to be the driving force of the therapy journey, while offering support and guidance along the way. She would be honored to be a part of your story.

When Lindsey is not a therapist, she is a potter. Lindsey finds her own therapy in throwing clay on a wheel. She holds a strong belief in the healing of art. She is also a reader and a gamer. You could find her and Belle (in a backpack) out on a hike during some nice days!

“In some ways, suffering ceases to be suffering at the moment it finds a meaning, such as the meaning of a sacrifice.”
